I don’t know if you’ll ever see this but I want to wish you a Happy Birthday! You have given me so much self-confidence and motivation to succeed through your music, your spirit and your philanthropy.

You taught me what it means to be a feminist and to never be ashamed to express my sexuality.

You taught me to proud of the skin that I’m in, even if girls that look like me are constantly told not to be.

You taught me to love myself and focus on all of the positive things in my life and to not dwell on the negative and I am so thankful for that.

I hope you have the best birthday and I thank God (And Miss Tina) that I could witness all that you have achieved in your career thus far.

I hope that one day I can have just half of the drive, passion and grace that you possess. I love you very much.
